I’m long overdue for this author. I can’t believe that this is the first of his that I’ve read. STUPID.

If you’ve got a strong stomach, a sick mind, and an appreciation for celebrity, you should read it.

Two quotes from the end of the novel shall shape my day:

“If death meant just leaving the stage long enough to change costume and come back as a new character… would you slow down? Or speed up?”

&

“People fall so in love with their pain, they can’t leave it behind.”

Also, at the end, Palahniuk reports that he has read the first story, “Guts”, in public several times, and as of the date of publication, 73 people have fainted.

Now that, my friends, is a good ass book.
